
Environmentalists are welcoming new energy targets, which have been set for the Manx government.
Tynwald has approved plans for the Island to get 15 per cent of its energy from renewable sources by 2015, with twelve per cent of that figure coming from wind power.
Friends of the Earth coordinator Phil Corlett says, as well as the environmental benefits, it will make the Island less dependent on outside sources:
