Winter Support Hub to help 'the hardest hit' in community

Struggling households are being offered support to tackle their rising costs as it starts to get colder and darker.

The Salvation Army is hosting a Winter Support Hub, at the Isle of Man Business Park, on Saturday (3 October).

It’s bringing together other charities and organisations who can offer free and confidential support to the ‘hardest hit people’ within the community.

“Going into the winter months when energy bills inevitably rise, budgets will be stretched and finances will be shifted so many people will feel the pressure and we want to help put plans in place to limit the struggles and so household budgets don’t buckle.” - Debbie White 

Debt Advice Coordinator Debbie White says some families will have to decide between heating and eating this winter:

The Winter Support Hub will take place at the Salvation Army church and community centre between 11am and 2pm.
