Work still available in key sectors, say recruiters

Unemployment has risen to more than 800 during coronavirus outbreak

Those searching for new jobs during the coronavirus crisis can still find work in key sectors.

 

Employees who previously worked in the finance and hospitality sector are moving towards ‘key worker’ roles such as food delivery drivers, supermarkets and catering care homes and at Noble’s hospital.

 

However, the area has only 135 jobs available, while unemployment has risen to more than 800.

Meanwhile, the director of Ambitions Recruitment, Sharon Kissack, says the company is still offering temporary work, but is unable to place the number of candidates applying due to a lack of available employment:
