Manx Care says water ingress and heating challenges are among the issues at Chester Street
Manx Care and the Department of Infrastructure are looking for a new Covid-19 vaccination hub after the healthcare provider raised concerns over the suitability of the Chester Street facility.
The board says there's been significant water ingress at the site, there are difficulties heating the building and a lack of staff facilities.
The former supermarket, which had been empty since 2018 before being set up as a vaccination hub in February 2021, is owned by the DoI.
Manx Care CEO Teresa Cope says work is underway to identify alternative locations:
Reopening of Martin Ward delayed following further safety checks
