Xmas cards to boost Hospice funds

Every penny works and every penny counts.

That’s the message from Hospice Isle of Man as the festive season approaches.

The charity is again selling an array of Christmas cards, in a total of 15 designs, ranging from traditional to humorous.

This year local artists Christina Potts and Peter Hearsey have designed three cards with festive themes to help raise funds.

They feature the Castletown garrison parade on Christmas Day 1840 (pictured), Christmas Day at Old Ballaugh church in 1849 and Santa caught parking on double-yellow lines.

Director of Hospice shops John Dennis says there is a story behind each design and hopes local support will make a real difference (play attached audio file):

You can find out more about the Christmas cards at hospiceshops.com or any of the Island’s five Hospice shops.
