No injuries reported
Peel lifeboat was launched yesterday afternoon after reports of fire aboard a yacht.
The vessel had left Port Erin earlier in the day and was around 8 miles south of Peel when the Ruby Clery arrived to assist the one-man crew.
However, it was discovered the fumes were in fact coming from an overheating engine, rather than an actual blaze.
The vessel was safely towed back to Peel where it entered the marina under it's own power around 6pm.
No injuries were reported.
