Move forced due to staff absence
Year nine students at St Ninian's High School have been asked to stay at home tomorrow.
It's due to 'extremely high' levels of staff absence - the school says it's 'exhausted all other contingencies'.
The head teacher has written to parents saying the situation is 'not sustainable' and has asked the children to work remotely.
He says the volume of teaching and support staff currently absent, and a reduced availability of supply teachers, has left him with 'little option'.
A contingency plan for next week will be worked out tomorrow.
