
Island residents with an interest in their community are being urged to consider standing in the forthcoming all-Island local authorities general election.
Voters will go to the polls on April the twenty-fourth.
In 2004, the Department of Local Government introduced holding all local government elections on the same day, as part of a bid to boost interest and increase turnouts after years of voter apathy.
