Amor to Replace Plater at T.T.

Steve Plater will not be competing at T.T. 2010.

He will be replaced by Scot Keith Amor at H.M. Plant Honda for the Superbike and Senior races.

Plater broke his left arm in a practice crash at the North West 200 last Thursday afternoon.

Sports Editor Tim Glover reports:-

So, Keith Amor will partner 15-time T.T. winner John McGuinness for H.M. Plant Honda at this year's event.

Amor achieved a first international road race win at last Saturday's North West 200 in the Superstock race - in all five outings he finished in the top six.

He made his T.T. debut around the Mountain Course in 2007 and has already notched up three third place podium finishes - in both the 2008 and 2009 Supersport Race One and last year's Superstock.

His best finish at the T.T. on a Superbike is 7th - last year he didn't finish either of the big bike races.

There's no doubt Amor has more than served his apprenticeship around the Mountain Course - but now he will be mixing it amongst the favourites!
