It comes just two days after Island competitor took on Commonwealth Games

Just days after competing in this year's Commonwealth Games, Isle of Man athlete Christa Cain set a new personal milestone whilst racing in Europe last weekend.

The Island runner managed a new road 10km personal best of 34 minutes, 19 seconds whilst taking on the adidas Runners City Night Berlin on Saturday, 1 August.

That performance saw Cain finish in 22nd place in the overall female standings and the highest ranked female competitor representing a club from Great Britain.

Furthermore, Cain's participation in the race came just two days after she represented the Isle of Man at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Back on Thursday, 30 July, Cain - in what was her games debut - contested the Women's 5,000m Final in the Scottish city after stepping in at just three weeks' notice to replace Sarah Astin who'd had to withdraw from the games due to injury.
