
Young athletes impress during track & field round in Blackpool
Isle of Man athletes secured a total of 34 medals during the latest Lancashire Track & Field Championships in Blackpool.
At the two-day event in Stanley Park, Manx competitors from Manx Harriers, Northern AC and Western AC managed 16 gold, 10 silver and eight bronze whilst more went on to set personal bests in their disciplines.
Among the big winners was Eve Martin who claimed five golds across the Under-13 events with Leighton Curphey, Aimee Christian and Lucy Ormsby bagging two gold medals each in their competitions.
Curphey also went on to win individual silver and bronze elsewhere with Christian adding a silver medal to her achievements.
