Steve Taylor began work today on 20km race walking events
An international race walking official from the Isle of Man is taking part in his third Olympic Games campaign this year.
Steve Taylor has been officiating this morning (1 August) on both the men's and women's 20km race walking events in the French capital.
He will also be involved in the new marathon mixed race walking relay which is making its Olympic debut next Wednesday (7 August) and is replacing the 50km individual race walking comeptition.
Having first started as a race walking competitor in 1982 he counts a 14th-placed finish at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria among his achievements.
As an official his other two commitments at the Olympics came in London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
