Manxman takes 12th spot in 10,000m race in Birmingham
Isle of Man athlete, David Mullarkey was the highest-placed Brit during the Men's 10,000m final at the 2026 European Championships.
Representing Great Britain at the meeting in Birmingham on Saturday, 15 August, Mullarkey finished the race in 12th position in a time of 28 minutes, 25.58 seconds.
That pace saw him finish ahead of his fellow GB competitors with Scott Beattie the next home in 15th place in 28 minutes, 50.35 seconds.
The third and final British athlete involved in the race, Joe Wigfield, followed after with his time of 29 minutes, 9.43 seconds seeing him come home in 17th spot.
For Mullarkey, the event came just a few weeks after he secured a bronze medal in the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the same race on 28 July.
