Manx runner breaks 16-minute barrier to set new PB
Manx athlete Rachael Franklin managed a top-three finish whilst competing in long-distance running in the UK at the weekend.
At the latest round of the British Milers Club calendar in Manchester on Saturday (27 May), Franklin took part in the Women's 5000m A Race held at SportCity.
The Island competitor went on to finish third in a time of 15 minutes 57.05 seconds, just seven seconds off the time of the race winner, Calli Thackery.
As well as breaking the 16-minute barrier with her performance, Franklin's time is also 4.43 seconds better than her previous best set in 2022.
