Martin Cheung also bags three medals at U19's event
One of the Isle of Man badminton sides has achieved promotion in the Badminton England Senior County Championships.
IoM 2 took part in their final two games of the their Division 4 Central campaign in Milton Keynes at the weekend (6 May).
Despite a narrow 5-6 defeat to Norfolk 2 in their opening match of the day, the Manx side rallied back to take a commanding 9-2 victory over Northamptonshire 2.
It means they end their season in the table with four wins and two defeats from their six games to finish second behind Norfolk 2 with both teams confirmed to move up to the tier above for the next season.
Meanwhile, young Island player Martin Cheung has gone on to claim further personal success as he was involved in the recent Northumberland U19 event.
Cheung secured three medals including gold in men's singles and then silver in the men's doubles and mixed doubles.
