Isle of Man badminton player, Charlotte Watson has claimed gold at this year's Hull Senior Bronze tournament on the Badminton England calendar.

The Island competitor took top spot in the Women's Senior Singles event after taking victory in all three matches she contested and without dropping a single set.

Entering the meeting as the number one seed in the Women's Senior Singles, Watson first defeated Laura Graves (23-21, 21-14) and followed that up with success over number two seed, Hannah Bingham (21-15, 21-10).

After that, the perfect run of results was completed with another straight-sets win, this time over Raaga Praneetha (21-1, 21-4) in Watson's third and final group contest.

Outside of the individual success, Watson teamed up with fellow Isle of Man competitor, Emma Nicholson where they finished second in Women's Senior Douvbles Group A with one win and one loss.

The other Isle of Man players involved in the tournament were Matthew Nicholson and Baillie Watterson - both linked up for the Open Senior Doubles where they suffered defeats in both matches.

Meanwhile, Watterson finished second in Group D of the Open Senior Singles with a win and a loss from two games whilst Matthew and Emma Nicholson worked together in the Mixed Senior Doubles Group B where they also recorded one win and one defeat.
