Bailey shines in Bradda
Simon Bailey was the winner of the Bradda Niarbyl Fell Race on Saturday.
The athlete from Mercia Fell Runners completed the course in a time of two hours, nine minutes, 54 seconds, finishing ahead of Morgan Donnelly (Borrowdale Fell Runners) and Matthew Roberts (Calder Valley Fell Runners).
A total of 216 competitors finished the 14.9-mile route, including around 180 from off-island and a number of leading contenders in the English Championships.
Victoria Wilkinson was the leading lady with Lloyd Taggart the leading local in seventh overall in a time of 2.15.12.
Tom Cringle was 21st and Nick Coburn 30th to head the other leading locals.
