Ball rolling on all-male netball team

Next session planned for March

Men of all ages and abilities were welcomed into the world of netball recently at trials for the Island's very first all-male team.

There, the new players learned basic skills like footwork, the three-second rule, and how to manage a Sunday-morning hangover while running, jumping, and having the constant, unapologetic sound of a whistle blown in close proximity.

Around twenty players turned up to try out, with more showing their interest online.

Player and netball umpire Michael Josem spoke to Rhian Evans:

Manx Netball Development Officer Claire Battye has plans to create a social league and national side.

All are welcome to join, if you'd like to get involved, contact development@netball.im
