The Parkinson Railway Cup Final between Peel and Rushen takes place at The Bowl this afternoon with the match kicking-off at 1.15pm.

Last year, the same two sides met and it was Rushen who edged a tight affair 1-0 with Stephen Riding netting the winner in the 61st minute.

It was Rushen’s first silverware for seven seasons.

In the semi-finals, Rushen beat St. Mary’s 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Croit Lowey.

Peel came from behind to see off Laxey 2-1 at Glen Road.

The public toilets will be in use but there will be no catering facilities at the ground.

In other sport, Ramsey Motorcycle Club Two Man Enduro takes place at Ballagaraghan in Jurby at 11 o’clock with an astonishing entry of 118 pairs taking part - a record for the event.

There are three festive Rugby encounters.

At Glencrutchery Road, Vagabonds play the Young Farmers, Douglas Unders take on Douglas Overs at Port-e-Chee and at Poulsom Park, Castletown meet the Elder Lemons.

And Castletown Golf Club plays host to a 13-hole bring-and-win competition.

That gets under way at nine o' clock this morning.
