Manx fighter to compete for vacant WBA & IBF belts in October

Isle of Man boxer, Jade Burden says the chance to fight for two more titles later this year is a 'massive' opportunity that she 'just couldn't turn down.'

The reigning Commonwealth Silver Super Featherweight Champion will face Shauna Browne on 25 October for the vacant WBA Gold and IBF International Lightweight titles.

What's more, the showdown will take place at the iconic venue of York Hall in London.

Speaking to Manx Radio, Burden adds that whoever wins in just over two months' time could end up getting a shot at a world title in the not too distant future:

Since making her debut at professional level in 2024, Burden remains undefeated in the pro ranks with five wins from all five bouts, with two victories by way of knockout.

Her latest encounter came on 13 June this year when she produced a sixth-round stoppage against Kate Smith at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton to claim the Commonwealth Silver Super Featherweight crown.
