Cav believes new team can be better than HTC

Mark Cavendish believes his new Omega Pharma-Quickstep team could be even better than HTC.

After just a year with Team Sky, the Manx Missile signed for the Belgian outfit believing it will give him a better chance to challenge for the sprinters Green Jersey at the Tour de France.

Talking before he flew out to Argentina for his first event of the season, Cav said "I want to win stages and the green jersey and come out as a successful team from there. With the right structure there we can go and be a dominant force like it was with HTC."

Cav will race at the Tour de San Luis which starts this weekend and then travels to the Tour of Qatar when he will ride with the team's other big star Tom Boonen.
