
Mark Cavendish did his bit for a team mate at the Tour de L'Ain in France yesterday.
He helped race leader Gianni Meersman claim third place on the first stage proper (following Tuesday's prologue) and maintain his position at the top of the general classification.
Tweeting afterwards, Cav said he was happy to lead out Meersman, and praised the work of the Omega Pharma - Quick-Step team.
