Isle of Man cyclist Mark Cavendish narrowly missed out on a second successive stage win at the Tour of San Luis in Argentina yesterday.
The Manx Missile won Monday's opening stage on his debut with the Omega Pharma-QuickStep team.
Cav was edged out by Sacha Modolo of Italy by less than a bike length on stage two's uphill finish, with Australia's Leigh Howard third.
"I tried, but Modolo was just better today," said 27-year-old Cavendish.
"We gave everything we had as a team. We were short some riders at the end, but the guys really did an incredible job for me today."
