After three stages of the Tour of California, Manx cycling star Mark Cavendish leads the sprinters points competition despite being over half-an-hour behind the overall race leader.
He finished 67th yesterday and is 89th in the General Classification.
This year's route is fairly demanding with the opening stage the only one lending itself to a bunch sprint......which Cav won in style.
Today's 4th stage from San Jose to Modesto is not likely to suit the sprinters - it goes straight into a steep climb up the Sierra Road from sea level to nearly 2000 feet, and later on has a 30 mile constant climb up narrow and twisty roads.
