Laxey cyclist Mark Cavendish finished third on the final stage of the week-long Tirreno-Adriatico road race in Italy.
The 176km route finished with a bunch sprint for the line. The result moved Cavendish up to 131st in the General Classification.
Cav is now flying home for Thursday night's Sports Awards at the Villa Marina before heading for the World Track Championships at the Manchester Velodrome next week.
He is likely to line-up in the Madison with High Road team-mate Bradley Wiggins, and could also replace the injured Chris Newton in the Points Race.
