Seven days of racing begins next week
Mark Cavendish will be part of the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team taking part in next week's Tirreno-Adriatico race next week.
The Manx Missile will be part of a seven-strong team for the competition running from next Monday (7 March) for seven days.
Organisers of it have broken with tradition for the 57th edition of the event, which sees the Benedetto del Tronto individual stage dropped, one which will also lack a mountain top finish.
The first stage will involve a 13.9km course at Lido di Camaiore before two days suited to the sprinters and a visit to Tuscany.
