Cavendish seeks glory on final day of Tour de France

Manx Missile eyes record-breaking 35th stage win

Mark Cavendish goes in search of a record-breaking thirty-fifth stage win today as the Tour de France draws to a close.

After a quiet stage on Friday and yesterday’s time trial his Deceuninck-QuickStep Team will be as prepared as is possible for the final day's sprint

The riders will race around the Champs Élysées in the French capital, Paris, a stage the Manxman has won four times before.

Meanwhile, fans are expected to gather at Villa Marina Gardens in Douglas to watch the action live on a big screen.

The event will include a ride out starting out at three o'clock from the National Sports Centre.

After a lap of the NSC the police escorted route will travel over Pulrose bridge and along Peel Road before turning right down Prospect Hill, along Finch Road and on to the Villa Marina.

The live broadcast begins at one o'clock.
