36-year-old included in Deceuninck Quickstep team
Laxey's Mark Cavendish will ride in the Tour de France.
Deceuninck Quickstep has included the 36-year-old in its team after the number one choice for sprinter, Sam Bennett, was finally ruled out with a knee injury.
Cavendish has won 30 stages at the Tour, the last coming in 2016, but has not competed at the race for three years.
He has now returned to fitness and recorded five wins so far this year.
