Chasing pack looks to make up ground

Odds-on title favourites St George's are not in action in Manx football's Premier League this afternoon (Saturday), so the chasing pack has the chance to make up some ground.

Old Boys can go level on points with them if they beat Corinthians at Blackberry Lane, but have already played two more games than their near neighbours.

Rushen travel to Ayre for what will be their 18th match of the season, five more than St George's have played.

Laxey are away to Ramsey, Castletown tackle St John's, Ramsey Youth Centre and Gymns meet in a big relegation battle, and St Mary's entertain Peel at the Bowl in the most attractive looking match of the day.

There is another clash between two of the promotion hopefuls in Division Two, with Marown taking on Union Mills at the Memorial Fields for the second time in a week.

Last Saturday, the Millers ran out convincing 5-0 winners to knock the hosts out of the FA Cup.
