Eddie Beard joins setup in continued efforts to grow female game
A new coaching appointment has been made as the Isle of Man aims to keep developing women and girls cricket.
Isle of Man Cricket has confirmed Eddie Beard has joined the organisation as a community coach with a focus on the female game.
Among Mr Beard's responsibilities will be working within clubs to grow participation levels; organising and running the women's soft ball cricket festivals and assisting in high performance and development programmes including with the Isle of Man women's national team.
Also included in his remit promoting and delivery the sport in primary and secondary schools with a particular focus on girls cricket in secondary schools.
Isle of Man Cricket says his role will 'drive the continued growth of the women's and girls game' in line with the ICC Strategy and IOMCA 'Future of Cricket' strategy.
