Prop looking to return to IoM
It seems Phil Cringle is calling time on his professional rugby career.
He has spent the last four seasons at London Scottish, playing in the second tier of England's league structure, The Championship.
The 26-year-old from Ballakeighan has updated his LinkedIn profile to say, "I am an experienced professional rugby player, looking to transition out of professional sport, back home to the Isle of Man."
Richmond-based London Scottish were dealt a blow last month when its was announced the RFU was cutting the financial support it provided to the 12 teams in the Championship by half.
That has since been compounded by the Covid-19 pandemic bringing the current season to an early conclusion, meaning it's likely most clubs will have to go part-time.
