Cycling: Bostock named in GB squad for Tour of Britain

The 2025 event is due to get underway tomorrow (2 Sept)

Isle of Man professional cyclist Matthew Bostock looks set to contest the 2025 Lloyds Tour of Britain Men this week.

The Manxman has been named in the provisional startlist for the Great Britain Cycling Team.

He's one of six competitors named in the lineup along with Ben Wiggins, Ben Chilton, Josh Charlton, Joshua Golliker and Huw Buck-Jones.

Elsewhere, former World Scratch Race champion, Ben Swift - who represented the Isle of Man at the 2022 Commonwealth Games - is named in the INEOS Grenadiers team for the same event.

The tour, consisting of six stages in total will begin tomorrow (2 September) with a 168.36km route in Suffolk from Woodbridge to Southwold.

The event is expected to feature 114 riders representing 19 teams and 20 different nations.

Numerous world stars of men's cycling are expected to be involved including Olympic road race and time trial champion, Remco Evenepoel; double world road race champion, Juilan Alaphilippe and 2018 Tour de France winner, Geraint Thomas in what will be his final professional race.
