It's his second individual stage victory of 2024
Mark Cavendish has won the second stage of this year's Tour de Hongrie.
The 'Manx Missile' took first spot today (9 May) ahead of Dylan Groenewegen of Team Jayco-AlUla in second and Euskaltel-Euskadi's Jon Aberasturi who completes the podium in third place.
It's Cavendish's second individual stage win of 2024 having taken first place on the fourth stage of the Tour of Columbia in February.
The result also follows on from a sixth place finish for the 38-year-old in yesterday's opening phase of this current meeting.
The third stage of the race takes place tomorrow and is expected to start at around 10.45am UK time.
