D&D surprise Colby

Douglas and District caused the surprise of the day in JCK Division Two.

Aaron Bradley, Kevin Doyce and Richard Brant were on target in a 3-2 home win over Colby.

Adam Griffiths and Steve Kelly replied for the southerners but it was a disappointing day for the Glen Road club.

The top v bottom clash at Crosby had a result to match.

Marown ran out 7-0 winners over Ronaldsway, courtesy of goals from Juan Killip (two), Ryan Holdaway, Richard Mulhearn, Gary Christian, Kevin Druggan and Nigel Shimmin.

All the goals were in the first half.

Douglas Royal fought back from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 draw with the Police.

Tony Edgar and Ian Drake fired the visitors in front but Paul Whitley pulled one back before Greg Hoskisson’s header levelled matters.

Goals from Michael Hammond and Matthew Brand (two) fired Michael to a 3-1 win at Malew, for whom Danny Thirwell scored.

A Joe Reece hat-trick helped Pulrose to a 5-1 win at Braddan in the battle of two inconsistent sides.

Matt Cowin and Kenny Cowin notched the others with David Kinrade scoring the Braddan consolation.
