Dominant champions embarrass Vikings

Wilson double hat-trick in romp

The gulf between Bacchas A and the rest of Manx hockey’s top flight continues.

That’s after the reigning champions demolished Vikings A 12-1 on Saturday.

Tom Wilson was the hero with a six goal haul as Bacchas A made a blistering start to lead 4-0 inside seven minutes.

Andy Whiting (two), James Harrison, George Harrison, Kim Carney and Jamie Brown netted the others in the rout.

Valkyrs A turned on the style to see off newly promoted Harlequins A.

They triumphed 11-1 with Juan Killey (three), Imogen Manning (two), Ollie Webster (two), Greg Miller (two), Julian Colley and Gareth Morris all on target.

Chris Cave netted the Quins’ consolation.

Bacchas B edged out Celts in a 10 goal thriller.

Patrick Cox, Karl Moore, Tony Bentley-Roberts, James Harrison, Abbey Magee and Emma Leeming were the scorers in a 6-4 win.

Robin Masson (two), Stevie Ronan and Hannah Leece replied for Celts.
