Crosby gave a fine all-round display yesterday to defeat Valkyres in the Standard Bank Premiership.
The Marown side ran up a massive 291-6 from their 50 overs with Danny Kniveton hitting 86 and Kevin Kniveton making 59 not out.
Pick of the southern bowling was Andy Corlett with 2-34.
A great opening spell by Ross Berry and Dave Picken shattered the Valkyres’ top order.
Ross put down eight very quick overs to concede only seven runs while Dave finished with 3-20.
The southerners were in deep trouble at 59 for 8, but a stand of 47 between Andy Corlett and Andy Stokes improved the situation.
Eventually the side was dismissed for 106 – Andy Stokes top scored on 33 and Andy Corlett made 16.
