More racing scheduled for Wednesday

Michael Dunlop dominated the opening race at the Southern 100 meeting on Tuesday.

The 600/1000cc race was red-flagged on the opening lap when Dean Harrison came off at Ballakeighan - he was reported as up and about soon after.

Dunlop then took hold of the reduced six-lap affair with a fastest lap of 112.409mph to take victory well ahead of Ivan Lintin and Dan Kneen.

Newcomer Darryl Tweed from Ballymoney had a commanding win in the 125/400 contest by just under 18 seconds.

Dan Sayle won a thrilling dice for second on the line ahead of Adrian Kershaw.

There are four more races scheduled for Wednesday evening, with roads around the Billown Course closing at 6.05pm and reopening no later than 9.40pm.
