Topics likely to be raised in the run up to the House of Keys general election were discussed at a public meeting yesterday (Monday) evening.
The session was arranged by the Positive Action Group to give voters a chance to talk about matters of concern.
Issues raised included whether local politicians could be trusted, revenue from VAT, and protecting the freedom of individuals.
This speaker expressed concern over what he saw as the powerlessness of the Manx government (listen to audio file below):
The general election is on September 29, with nomination day on August 30.
