Organisers also appealing for volunteers at next month's event
The End-to-End Walk Race Secretary has said the organisers aim to have 300 participants at this years event.
A final drive for numbers is taking place for the 2024 challenge which will be held on Sunday, 15 September.
It sees hundreds take on a gruelling 39.22-mile walking course from the Point of Ayre lighthouse to The Sound in the south.
Once underway, those involved have ten hours 30 minutes to complete the route.
Among those signed up to it this year is Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man Sir John Lorimer.
Tony Mackintosh says 291 took part in the last race twelve months ago.
He believes one of the big draws is that people of a wide range of different ages and abilities can take part:
Entries for competitors for the event close on Sunday, 1 September.
Meanwhile organisers are appealing for more people to sign up as marshals to help run the race - officials add they need 80 volunteers in total and are currently 'a little short'.
