First-timers will be looked after
The friendly atmosphere of the Island Games, beginning this weekend in Gotland, will help Manx athletes enjoy the competition.
That's according to Catherine Russell, the team's assistant general manager.
She says with transport, accommodation and even currency all arranged prior to the event, the Manx sportsmen and women can relax and build friendships with other athletes.
The Isle of Man team left Ronaldsway this morning.
Ms Russell says a real community spirit has been developed at the Games:-
Hockey: Bacchas A extend lead at top of Men's Premier League
Rugby: Douglas beaten at home
Football: Peel retain Floodlit Cup
