Manx riders among TT stars heading to event next month

Two Isle of Man riders are among the entries for the 2025 Macau Grand Prix next month.

Michael Evans and Marcus Simpson will join a host of other Isle of Man TT competitors for the 57th edition of the event on Saturday, 15 November.

Both will pilot Honda Fireblade machinery with Evans representing RC Express and Simpson competing for the WH Racing powered by Dynobike team.

It's the third consecutive year Evans has been involved whilst Simpson made his debut at the race in 2024.

Also among the 20-strong field of riders are the likes of 2024 Senior TT winner, Davey Todd; Isle of Man TT outright lap record holder and 13-time winner, Peter Hickman along with the likes of David Johnson, Rob Hodson and Michael Sweeney.

All but one of the confirmed entries have prior experience on the Snaefell Mountain Course.

Another involved is 2025 TT newcomer, Mitch Rees who will become the first New Zealand rider to take part in the meeting since 2011.

Last year's Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix was cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

As a result, trophies were awarded to the riders who set the top qualifying times with Todd the fastest, Erno Kostamo in second and Peter Hickman third.

This 2025 Macau Grand Prix event will be held from 13-16 November with the first free practice for the motorcycle grand prix on the opening day (Thursday, 13 November).

Motorcycle qualifying will then be held on Friday, 14 November with the race itself scheduled to take place the day after on Saturday, 15 November.
