Ravens could also reach 100 goals for the season this weekend

FC Isle of Man will be hunting a sixth straight victory when they travel to take on Brocton this Saturday (5 February).

The Ravens currently sit second in the NWCFL Div 1 South table on goal difference ahead of New Mills after a 4-0 win over Barnton at The Bowl last weekend (29 January).

If the Manx side do find the net in Staffordshire this time out, they would reach 100 goals scored in their maiden season having bagged 99 in all competitions so far.

Furthermore, with 94 goals in the league, they're currently the top scoring side out of all the NWCFL divisions in league matches (Div 1 South, Div 1 North & Premier Division).

However, their opponents tomorrow provided a tough test for Chris Bass' team back on 30 October in the Ravens first ever league home game.

Goals from Jack McVey and Luke Murray that day secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Brocton.

Whilst Brocton may lie 14th in the standings and 24 points adrift of the Island team, they've put together a string of promising performances in recent weeks.

They've lost just once in their last nine games.

They've also won three and secured three clean sheets in their last six.

Their victories have included a 3-0 success against play-off contenders Abbey Hey (8 January) and a 2-1 victory over Ellesmere Rangers (22 January).

The loss came in a narrow 2-1 defeat to high-flying league leaders, West Didsbury & Chorlton (18 January).

Brocton vs FC Isle of Man will take place at the Silkmore Lane Sports Ground this Saturday, kicking off at 1.45pm.
