Just three points separate all teams in league play-off places

FC Isle of Man know three points are likely to be crucial this weekend when they welcome Stockport Town to The Bowl tomorrow night (26 March).

The Ravens continue to occupy second place in the NWCFL Div 1 South standings going into this weekend.

It's the highest position they can now mathematically achieve after West Didsbury & Chorlton secured the league title with a 2-1 victory over Barnton in midweek (23 March).

Whilst the Manx side occupy the top play-off place as it stands, their position is precarious as just three points now separate all four sides in the play-off positions.

With just two regular league games remaining, FC IoM remain undefeated in the league in 2022, taking 38 points from a possible 42.

But they face a Stockport Town side who they only narrowly overcame with a 3-2 victory at Stockport Sports Village back on 18 September, with goals from Sean Doyle, Sean Quaye and Ste Whitley securing three points.

Meanwhile, this weekend's visitors to Manx shores go into tomorrow's clash ninth in the table, and hoping to turn round a disappointing run of recent results.

Stockport Town are without a win in their last seven games in all competitions, the most recent of which a 2-2 draw at home to 19th-placed Rocester.

FC Isle of Man vs Stockport Town takes place at The Bowl this Saturday (26 March), kicking-off at 6.30pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our AM1368 and Digital platforms.
