FC Isle of Man head to St Helens for first midweek clash of the season

Ravens looking for first win of season

FC Isle of Man will be taking St Helens tonight for their first midweek game of the new North West Counties Football League season.

They'll be looking to improve on Saturday's (26 July) opening round draw with Litherland REMYCA at The Bowl.

However, if last season is anything to go by it'll be a tough ask for The Ravens as this fixture produced 14 goals in both games.

The game at the Windleshaw Sports Ground for instance played out a nine-goal thriller with the Stripes scoring the winner in the 86th minute.

FC Isle of Man manager Paul Jones says his side haven't been able to prepare for tonight's game after a quick turn-around from Saturday:

The Merseyside club gained promotion to the NWCFL last year and finished above Jones' men in eighth place with 71 points.

FC St Helens vs FC Isle of Man will kick off at 7:45pm at the Windleshaw Sports Ground.
