Ravens take on team from division above

FC Isle of Man will be hoping today marks the start of a memorable cup competition journey.

The Ravens are taking on Avro FC in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase this afternoon (25 September).

Heading into this, the Manx side have secured back-to-back wins in their last two league games.

After thrashing Cammel Laird 6-1 on the Wirral on 4 September, they overcame Stockport Town with a 3-2 victory last week (18 September).

However, the Island team will face a side this weekend currently playing in the division above them.

Avro FC, based in the Limeside area of Oldham, Greater Manchester, play in North West Counties Football League Premier Division.

In the league, they have five wins, one draw, and three defeats from their opening nine games.

This includes two wins in their last two against Congleton Town and Squires Gate.

FC Isle of Man will take on Avro FC at the Vestacare Stadium from 2pm this afternoon.
