Corinthians maintain four-point gap at top of premier league
Colby have gone four points clear at the top of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 as their nearest rivals stumbled during the latest Isle of Man football clashes yesterday (24 January).
Whilst Colby went on to record a 3-0 victory at Marown, Colby's southern rivals, Castletown were narrowly beaten 3-2 by St George's in what was their second loss to the same opposition in the space of a week.
Elsewhere, Corinthians maintained their four-point advantage at the top of the Canada Life Men's Premier League as they came out on top at Onchan in a nine-goal thriller at the Nivison Stadium.
Corinthians' nearest challengers, Peel, were 2-0 winners at home to struggling Foxdale meaning the westerners sit four points behind in second but still have two games in hand.
Among the other top-flight ties, Braddan moved eight points clear of the drop zone with a late 2-1 victory at Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB.) who remain inside the bottom two.
