Manx side beat Hailwood Apollo in seven-goal thriller
The Isle of Man men's national football team has taken a 4-3 friendly victory over Halewood Apollo in player-manager Chris Bass jnr.'s first game in charge of the Manx side.
The hosts and Liverpool county champions took the lead on 30 minutes before Sean Doyle levelled for the Islanders nine minutes after.
Just 60 seconds later Hailwood Apollo went back in front with Doyle adding his and the Isle of Man's second to equalise again shortly after half-time.
The Isle of Man then led for the first time on 55 minutes as Jamie Callister found the back of the net before Hailwood Apollo struck back to make it 3-3 with ten minutes remaining.
However, the Isle of Man were to strike the final blow as Doyle became provider for Connor Clark who slotted home with five minutes remaining.
