Football: Prem leaders Corinthians to host high-flying Onchan

Castletown with chance to extend lead in Division 2

The current Canada Life Men's Premier League leaders face another of the division's high-flyers as part of this weekend's Isle of Man football fixtures.

Top-flight table-toppers Corinthians host third-placed Onchan during Saturday's ties (4 October) with all of the top four in the premier league separated by just one point.

Elsewhere, second-placed Laxey - who only trail Corinthians on goal difference - head to Union Mills whilst Rushen United in fourth are at home to St John's United.

Meanwhile, after a rest week six days ago, Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 leaders, Castletown return to action when they welcome St George's.

Castletown could go four points clear at the top if they take victory and second-placed Colby lose out at Malew.

Meanwhile, following a meeting between the Isle of Man FA and Isle of Man Referees Society earlier this week, FA officials are confident all of Saturday's fixtures will go ahead as planned.

It's after the schedule was thrown into doubt a few days ago due to a lack of available match officials.

A day later on Sunday (5 October), the Canada Life Women's League is due to return with three matches penned in.

Current league leaders, Douglas Royal are due to host Onchan; Corinthians welcome Rushen United and Union Mills take on Malew.
