Another general election candidate has come forward in Castletown, the seat which has been held by current Chief Minister Tony Brown for 30 years.
He is David Pownall, a former airport police officer, who lives in Malew Street.
Mr Pownall, who is 50, wants the government to put greater controls on spending, particularly when it hasn't got the money.
He is suggesting a number of projects for Castletown, including creating an Italian style piazza in the square, and putting a lock gate on the entrance to the harbour, to 'improve the foul smell at low tide'.
The other person to have declared in Castletown so far is local commissioner Carol Quine.
