European Tour events were a priority for development
Isle of Man golf professional Tom Gandy is returning home after an eventful season.
With a delayed start due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Rowany player has deliberately played more full European Tour events over the summer and autumn period.
That's because a number of stars limited their travel due to the health emergency so there were more invites to the premier level.
It means Tom has had the opportunity to play alongside household names and get comfortable competing for bigger purses.
The decision was also based on the announced limited opportunity to graduate from the Challenge Tour this year.
As a result, Gandy has only played 4 events at the level he was expecting to play at during the year.
He finished 96th in the standings and has missed out on the season-ending Challenge Tour Grand Final in Spain.
